Touch of Life in the Presence of God
Prescriptions for Christian Healing
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
The Light of God shines into our life as we pray and meditate. Our mission is to bring inner peace and healing to those in need. Difficulties begin within our own mind and are resolved as we focus on the Holy Spirit of God within us to help and guide as we pray. Healing the sick is a gift of the Holy Spirit that is only possible with God. We pray to shine Sacred Light in a place of darkness. Only God heals. This is the focus of Spiritual Healing. Blessings are bestowed upon all who ask with sincere belief, faith, love and compassion. The pure in heart know the way. Now we pray for Spiritual Healing as we meditate. Let our heart be humble and our spirit will speak only God’s Holy Word. We pray for guidance to state only truth and pray for healing of mind, body and soul. We ask to bring Divine Healing to all in need, in order to make us one in a spirit of love, peace and comfort. Only goodness extends from the Spirit of God who is present for all people to bring healing in an atmosphere of unity and mutual love. I believe that we are one in a Sacred Spirit of love, compassion, and caring for each person according to needs. There are many languages and multiple belief systems. The interpretation of words is the only factor that divides us.
Healing Meditative Prayer
The purpose of healing prayer and meditation is to enhance the process of healing. meditative prayer for healing is an addition to medical treatment by a qualified health care professional. Always follow the direction of your physician. Continue with medication and medical advice. Miracles can and do occur spontaneously by the power of God. Divine miracles also occur when God works through others. Meditative prayer opens the door to being God’s channel of healing. Compassion and kindness for all people is the beginning of healing. “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4; 31-32)
Resting your mind and body is an important preliminary step in the healing process. The person who is receiving healing and those who pray are to clear their mind, rest, and allow the Holy Spirit to enter. A passive and accepting attitude facilitates Spiritual Healing. Initial prayer for protection and Holy Guidance from God is necessary. Always ask God for guidance and protection for all whom you pray. Pray and visualize the Holy Light of God filling surrounding and protecting you. The Holy Spirit of God shields you. The meditative prayer scripts in this book are for use by an individual, health care provider or for group healing prayer. Begin by resting in a comfortable position where you will be free of disturbance. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Slow controlled breaths cause immediate relaxation. Consciously relax your muscles especially around your face, jaw, neck and shoulders. Create within your mind an attitude of willingness to accept the Holy Divine Guidance of .
Begin with prayer and request guidance then quietly wait for an answer as you focus on a prayer, sound, word or peaceful music. When you ask a question, the only way to receive an answer is to listen quietly. As thoughts come into your mind just let them float by like leaves on a peaceful stream. This restful state of awareness improves and hastens the healing process. Meditation prepares your mind for acceptance of inner guidance from God that leads to healing. Your mind becomes receptive to new inspiration from the Holy Spirit. This is a method of instilling peace, order and infinite love into one’s life. “Laying on of Hands” combined with meditative prayer promotes inner healing. “While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them.” When two or three gathers in the name of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is present.
During Meditative Healing Prayer, one or two persons will gently lay hands on the person who seeks healing or hold your open palms facing toward the person for whom you are praying. As you pray either silently or in a low comforting tone of voice focus on the Light of God entering your hands through your body and allow the Healing Light of God to flow to the one who requests healing. Someone else will pray and read the meditative prayer prescriptions in a soft soothing voice for relaxation and healing suggestion. If inspired by the Holy Spirit, pray in tongues. This is variable according to the circumstance.
Meditative Prayer helps to promote a positive attitude for healing. When using Meditative prayers for self-help, read each section slowly then close your eyes, rest in a comfortable position and follow the suggestions for relaxation. There is an automatic relaxation effect while reading prescriptions for healing. It is also helpful to record the prescription and listen as you rest in a quiet place. Listen to soft, slow meditation music for relaxation. Focus on the Holy Spirit of God, who is only good. Begin with prayer and receive inspiration from God. As your mind and body relax, there is heightened focus. This form of prayer leads us to communicate within the Spirit of God. You feel calm, relaxed, and experience the Healing Love of God. There is awareness of God’s perfect creation. This promotes peace and serenity. Through meditative prayer, we restore our life; improve health and a sense of inner peace. End with prayer, thank God for these Blessings, and release this person into the care and Love of Jesus Christ. Have faith; there is always an answer to prayer according to the Will of God. Ask God to heal and release you of any reactive effect related to the healing process. Have faith that God is in charge and only God’s Holy Spirit has any influence. All is now in the Hands of God.
Prayer from a Distance
“You are given the mind of Christ.” Christ is the Son of God. Grace and truth came through Christ. Those who believe in the Trinity, consider Christ as a pre-existent divine being the Logos or the Word. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) In the original Greek, Logos is “Word,” Christ is viewed as the Incarnation of the “Divine Logos “or God who is everywhere and in everything. Within the Divine Mind of Christ, we pray for loved ones who are absent. All are one in Christ and connected in soul and the Spirit of God. During meditation, pray for all who need prayer. Image within your mind that you are with the person and visualize being in the presence of God’s Holy Spirit. Mentally ask the person for permission and then proceed with laying on of hands combined with prayer and meditation in the same manner as if you were physically together. If there is the opportunity, let the person know in advance of the time that you are praying for healing. Ask the person to relax and mentally participate in receiving the healing prayer. This is absent healing prayer that has a Holy and powerful effect. There is no distance in the mind of God.
Prayer for Discernment and Healing
“In wisdom there is a beneficial spirit that is also humane, steadfast, secure, free from anxiety and all powerful…”(Wis. 7:23)
Begin with prayer. Talk to God and ask sincerely for help and healing. Blessed Lord God, make us whole. Send your Holy Spirit and Angels to lead us on this journey. Guide all for whom we pray. Guide our mind, heart, and soul as we pray and meditate. Help us to be truly discerning, as we receive inspiration and guidance. Allow only Your Holy Spirit to be of any influence during this meditation and always. We believe that in Your Holy Presence, we are one in mind, heart and soul. Lead us closer to your Presence. Help us to listen to your voice and understand your Divine purpose in this life. Guide us to understand your sacred truth and fill our mind, heart and soul with Your love; that we find blessed peace. Be our shelter and protector during this time of prayer and always. We abide now and eternally in Your loving care. Open the door, within our mind, that we may see your guiding light, as it flows peacefully.
Be with us to guide and protect. Let your presence light our way; that we receive healing through Jesus Christ our Lord. “For God alone, my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation.” (Psalm 62:5-6) Rest quietly in a comfortable position; close your eyes, clear your mind and relax. Take a moment to feel the peace within your mind, soul and spirit. Rest now, knowing that God is in charge. Trust in God Who brings absolute peace. “If you abide in My Word, then you are truly Disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. You know God’s truth; you have the ability to be confident and in control. The truth is of God, Who is only good. Discern the meaning of each situation according to God’s will use your sacred spiritual senses. Pray to receive the gift of discernment that is of the Holy Spirit. In God’s Truth, we experience only Sacred Goodness, we see only Good, hear only Good and speak only Good. Now God’s Holy Spirit shields us. Allow the Love of God to flow freely. Rest and see yourself living in the Holy Spirit. Only goodness can penetrate God’s shield of Divine Love.
We see with the power of love, speak with the power of love. God leads us to the knowledge and wisdom of Divine creation. Receive now the ability to understand the presence of Holy and Sacred Goodness in all people, in all things and in all situations. This brings wisdom and understanding. We know how to discern the presence of adverse influence in people and situations and deal with it according to the Wisdom of God’s Holy Spirit. This gives us the power of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Our Lord is with us always to guide us, protect us, and lead us, in all things and all situations. The Spirit is always there to point us in the direction of Gods’ Holy Word and the Love of Christ Who is of one Sacred Substance with God. Sense your connection with the nature of God and Holy Presence. Become aware of the impression of total silence as though time suddenly ceased to exist. All that exists is this moment within your mind as you rest and accept the Holy guidance that you receive. Only good, helpful thoughts, ideas or feelings can influence you in any way. Remain safe now, secure and completely protected. Only good is of God.
Now this journey is going to lead you to your special place of serenity and healing. Rest and focus on a beam of Holy and Sacred God Light entering your body. Visualize and feel the movement from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. Create a circle of Holy Light around yourself and sense a flow of this Light entering your body. As this stream of God’s Holy Spirit is present with you, there is absolute peace. A gentle sensation conveys a feeling of connection with the goodness of life and the Sacred Presence of God. Now as the light flows throughout your entire being, sense the stillness in this eternal present moment. Breathe deeply and slowly as you become aware of breathing in and out and feel the freshness of clean revitalizing air. Experience the feeling of breathing. With each breath feel pure fresh air entering your lungs and spreading throughout your body. This Sacred life energy is relaxing and refreshing each cell. Each atom and molecule are vibrant. The Holy Spirit of God is with you. Now all your body systems are perfectly and naturally stabilizing and normalizing.
Continue to sense and visualize this pure light entering your body as it flows from the Divine and Sacred source of God’s Spirit of healing and Love. As the light enters and surrounds your body, begin to drift into a deep state of rest. There is a sense of protection, peace and healing as you relax completely in this beautiful place of peace and tranquility. Rest there and enjoy the beauty of nature as your inner awareness is increasing. Move closer to the light and silence within this Holy Presence. Move toward God’s quiet place of beauty and light. Experience the deepest levels of the Divine Mind and reach higher levels of consciousness and awareness. Each movement leads closer to that still silent place of perfect love and inner healing. Let go now and rest quietly as you enter that stillness of the mind where all are one. Allow your mind to remain, clear of thought for the moment and ready to receive inner Holy guidance from God. Be still, sense the silence and when you are ready return bringing this sense of inner peace with you.
